| Where We Stand Concerning Salvation 1.) One must hear and learn God's truth (John 6:45; Rom. 10:14, 17). 2.) One must accept through faith God's Word and in who Jesus claimed to be (John 8:24; Heb. 11:6). 3.) One must repent (change mind) of sins (Luke 13:3, 5; Acts 2:38; 17:30). 4.) One must confess Jesus to be God's Son (Acts 8:37; Rom. 10:9-10). 5.) One must be baptized (immersed, Col. 2:12) in water in order to be saved (Mark 16:16; I Pet. 3:21), to have his sins remitted (Acts 2:38), to get into Christ (Rom. 6:3; Gal. 3:27), and to get into the body of Christ, the church (I Cor. 12:13). After doing the above, one must remain faithful (2 Tim. 4:7-8; 2 John 9; Rev. 2:10). |
